The Smart House Inc. is a dedicated non-profit agency providing comprehensive services for seniors, families, and children. Through our Affordable Housing Initiative, we ensure these groups have access to safe housing, professional counseling, and vital resources. As a core part of this initiative, we offer summer camps to our communities to nurture growth and development. To maximize our impact, we collaborate with respected partners like The LDG Group, Gateway Management, Horizon Housing Foundation, and the Housing Authority of DeKalb County (HDC Management).

Youth Development: Social Skills Workshops, Independent Living Skills, and Positive Decision-Making programs.
Mental Health Support: 1-on-1 Counseling, Group Therapy, and Certified Peer Specialist Services.
Education & School Support: Out-of-School Suspension Support and specialized workshops.
Family Programs: Triple P (Positive Parenting Program) to provide parents with practical strategies for managing behavior.
Senior Groups: Community-based engagement activities for elderly citizens.
Seasonal & Creative: Arts & Crafts and Summer Camp programs.
Financial Literacy: Money management workshops and basic economic education.
Health and Wellness: Physical fitness initiatives and nutritional awareness sessions.
After School Peer Support Groups: Safe, structured spaces where students can connect, share, and build resilience after school.
Tutoring (K–5th Grade): Personalized academic assistance in core subjects for elementary students.
Life Skills: Practical training in home management, employment readiness, and effective communication.

About Us
Shalon Warren, LMSW, CPS-P
Executive Director & Founder
Shalon started this organization after recognizing the challenges many young people face when they lack access to guidance, resources, and opportunity. Believing that mentorship and support can change the course of a life, she created this program to help underserved youth realize their potential. What began as a vision to make a difference has grown into a community dedicated to empowering the next generation. The name Smart House represents both safety and growth. The “House” stands for creating a safe, supportive space where kids feel like they belong. The “Smart” is about teaching life skills, better decision-making, and helping young people think ahead and stay on the right path.
Elizabeth Lopez, LCSW, RPT
Clinical Director
Elizabeth brings 12 years of clinical expertise as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Play Therapist to the Smarthouse Inc. leadership team. With extensive specialized training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and trauma-informed care, she excels at high-intensity problem-solving and fostering resilient environments. Licensed in Georgia and Florida, Elizabeth is dedicated to applying her "life worth living" philosophy to our company culture, ensuring a supportive and high-functioning workplace for all.
